100% Superfine Alpaca raised in Peru at elevations from 13,000 to 16,000 ft. Featuring 8 Natural Colors of Alpaca, not dyed nor bleached colors. Luxuriously soft and warm, suitable for wearing next to the skin. 7 times the warmth of wool and 12 times the strength, a remarkable fiber. Suitable for Hand and Machine knitters, Weavers, and Crochet.

Hand knitting gauge approximately 6 stitches to one inch. On my Brother standard machine at T7 I get approximately 6.5 stitches to one inch in stockinet.

Peruvian Tweed

100% Superfine Alpaca, spun in Peru as above. New 2 ply color blends that combine all of the natural colors above!

1,200 yards per pound, 2 Ply Sport weight.
Skeins average between 7.6 and 8 ounces each, or between 570 and 600 yards or more.
These are unusual blends in that one ply is a combed blend of colors while the second ply is one solid color. No dyed colors, all are natural! Click on color numbers below to see larger detail.
