Rocky Mountain Lap Blanket: This 44"x48" Bumpy lap blanket was designed for keeping warm during Rocky Mountain winters. It has the elegant texture of Moguls and Mohair used alternately and gives cozy, lightweight warmth. Once again the Hand-Dyed yarns combine to produce a colorful design that is a great accent on a rocking chair or sofa. Try mixing two colors using one color Moguls and one color Mohair. Salmon Valley Cardigan:
This is my own design. It is a simple slip stitch pattern with 4 row repeats that creates interesting floating river ripples across the surface. It is designed with a simple rolled v-neckline and set-in sleeves. Written for finished chest sizes 40, 44, 48, 50 and 54 inches using 5, 6, 6, 7, or 8 skeins of Twizzle. You need US needles size 6 (4mm) straight or 24" circular, size 32" circular for front band and size 8 (5mm) to create a loose neckband bind off. Design by Caryll McConnell.

Mountain Colors Kits come attractively bundled and color coordinated from the same dye lots. All Hand Painted Yarns can vary from dye lot to dye lot. Be certain to order the amount of yarn you will need for your intended project. Most orders for any of Mountain Colors' Yarn Styles, Colors, and Kits are Dyed-to-Order and are drop-shipped directly from Mountain Colors in Montana. Please allow from 4 to 6 weeks for creation of the yarns you request plus shipping time. Most orders will not take this long. This guarantees matching dye lots so you know you'll get exactly what you want. Even with matched dye lots hand painted yarns can vary from skein to skein, if noticeable, knit alternatively from 2 skeins. Unleash your creativity to mix and match textures and colors! These exceptional yarns are worth the short wait!

Mountain Colors will happily create Kits made-to-order for sizes larger than average sizes given in the patterns!

Please note that most of Mountain Colors Yarns are sold by the yardage given in Mountain Colors Yarn Styles descriptions, all weights are approximate. The exceptions to this rule are the Weavers Wool and the Wool Crepe full dyer's skeins, whose weights and yardages are approximate.
